This weekend's matches:
The 1st XI are set to play three matches in three days over the Bank Holiday weekend, with an unchanged side playing host to St Helens Recs on Saturday and the same eleven travelling to Hightown on Monday. In between, a rather different team, led by Mark Baker, will take the field against Palace Shield side Norcross in the first round of the Cockspur Cup National KO on Sunda, with. Lee Bolton, Craig Todd, Dean Skelton, James Dixon and Johnny Hine all getting opportunities to press for regular first-team slots.
The 2nd XI travel to Northop Hall on Saturday with a view to hitting top form for the visit of Bootle to Trafalgar Road on Monday. Meanwhile, the 3rds entertain Ainsdale at Birkdale HS on Saturday and the 4ths tackle Formby at Trafalgar Road on Sunday. All in all, a rather busy weekend - weather permitting!
