Hockey development
SHC has a proud record of hockey development not only is the club the catalyst for youth development in association with local primary schools but also has established links with higher education including University College Edge Hill, KGV, Merchant Taylors, Birkdale High School and Greenbank High School for Girls.
The club has a strong link to local schools and runs coaching clinics in local primary schools throughout Southport.
The club has developed an Elite-training program for its most talented players but encourage participation for all There is also an extensive coaching program that takes place on a Tuesday evening at Greenbank High School for the development squad between 6-7pm. This squad comprises of players between the ages of 12-18.
Junior Coaching
is now being held every Sunday Morning from 11 am till 12.30pm.
For boys and girls aged 7-13, the training is held at the Astro pitch at Greenbank High School.

When do we play?
League matches take place each Saturday throughout the season.
Ladies training takes place between 7 -8pm. Men’s senior training takes place between 8-9pm. This is also at Greenbank High School astro turf. For any queries about training contact Robin Benford on 07882712105
