Southport & Birkdale  have had a Snooker team playing in the Southport & District Amateur Snooker League since the 1970’s  The club now has only one representative side who after a poor season will see them playing in the 2nd Division in season 08/09.  An early return to the 1st Division is hoped for.

Early in its history the club won the first division title on many occasions so if there are any budding Ronnie O’Sullivans out there then please come along as we are on the lookout to strengthen the team.

With the need to make full use of club space the old snooker room was transformed into a conference/function room and the snooker room relocated. This alteration necessitated the club disposing of one of its 2 tables. The remaining table has been completely refurbished with new cushions and cloth.

The table is available for use most nights of the week ( Monday & Thursday normally busy for team matches) with cues available for hire from behind the bar (small fee payable) The depositing of a membership card is required as security for the snooker balls . The table has a light meter which takes tokens available from behind the bar 50p for 15 minutes.
