Squash Court Booking Rules
Court booking sheets will be posted on the notice board one week in advance.
Court booking times are set as on the court booking sheets. Each session is
of 40 minutes duration.
A court may be booked by placing a booking stamp (obtainable at the
bar) on the required court with a name written clearly over the stamp.
It is not allowed to book two successive sessions.
Once fixed on the booking sheet stamps cannot be removed.
It is not permitted to book a court without a stamp. i.e. a name without a
stamp means court free.
If playing a guest TWO stamps must be used.
Playing on Spec
Players are allowed to play on a court without a booking stamp if the court has not been
pre-booked. This however is on the strict understanding that court times cannot be
changed. i.e. If a player books the following court after an “on spec” match has
commenced” he / she is entitled to access to the court at the set time.
On spec players are advised to avoid confrontation by placing a stamp on the
following court to prevent this situation arising.
The Squash Club management committee are entitled to block book courts for team
matches, team training sessions and competitions without prior notice. The committee
reserve the right to review and amend the court booking rules as necessary.
